The Fripp Island Property Owners Association has been doing extra hard work to address the beach access paths (approx 30 of them) before the 'season' starts.  Come and enjoy our uncrowded sands - you'll be glad you did.  All of the access paths  - north, center & the south end have been undergoing scrutiny by the Beach Access Committee.  Temporarily #4 thru 14 will have a sign CLOSED because they are not completely safe. They suggest using Access 1 - 3 and 15 & up.  The 4 thru 14 are being worked on.  Because of our sometimes high tides, there is a 'lake' to cross down near the beach end of several access paths - & it is recommended you choose another access - the children will certainly appreciate it.  The 'new beach' at the south end of Tarpon is for sunbathing and sandcastle building - not for swimming in the Inlet speedy current and the quick drop off.
